A standard format for problem-solving, proposals, plans, and status reviews
The A3 concept involves using A3-sized paper (11" x 17") to graphically depict the problem-solving process. Developed at Toyota as part of their Lean implementation, it is a powerful tool to encourage people to focus their thinking. It helps clarify links between problems, root causes, and solutions.
What will be covered:
- An introduction to the A3 tool
- How A3 leads to more focused and structured thinking.
- The role of the A3 with problem-solving (PDCA cycle)
- The elements of A3
- Constructing A3
- A3's true power as a communication and mentoring tool
- Creating an A3 - interactive exercise
Who should attend?
Directors, Leaders, and Coordinators of Continuous Improvement, Lean, and/or Six Sigma. Anyone who works on projects, initiatives, or programs that need to be communicated in a one-page summary. An ideal opportunity to train new managers and empower your workforce.
