This 3 to 5 day hands-on Inventory kanban event is a proven way to implement this world class tool in any organization. A designated team, facilitated by an experienced lean expert, properly implements kanbans by using a 15 step Kaizen process. Proper Kanban systems will simultaneously minimize inventory, while providing a materials management process that all employees can interpret and understand at a glance. While this event is focused on obtaining results, it also provides an excellent environment for participants to learn from an expert about kanbans and other world class tools. This allows the participants to gain valuable hands on experience and confidence for facilitating or participating in future improvement events.

This event includes:

  • Event Preparation, Defining the scope and goals of the event
    • Everyone will clearly understand desired objectives
  • Team training includes: What Kanbans are, why it is important to implement Kanbans, different types of Kanbans, how to calculate Kanban levels and selecting the Kanban signals and containers and nine rules of Kanban
  • The actual Kaizen Event
    • The team will follow a structured process to help achieve and sustain improvements in a working environment
  • “Report out” to management on the results of the Event
  • Event Follow-up

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Report the results achieved throughout the event.
  • Understand how Kanbans apply to every organization
  • Understand the 15 steps for conducting a Kaizen event
  • Qualify for credit for the Lean Master Facilitator Inventory Kanban class
