The one-day Leadership Development module focuses on developing the essential leadership skills needed when implementing major change within an organization. It employs group exercises to explore key issues in leadership, motivation, and diversity. This powerful module explains why leadership and listening skills are so essential in the change process and provides group discussion of, and practice in, the key concepts. You will develop understanding around characteristics of an effective leader, effective leadership styles, the importance of self awareness as a leader, and the skills required of a leader in leading and motivating a diverse group of individuals.

  • A discussion of characteristics and differences between leading and managing
  • Different leadership styles
  • Assessing your leadership style
  • Situational leadership
  • Emotional intelligence and why it is important for a leader
  • Influencing and motivating others
  • Past and present motivational theories
  • Types of influence and power
  • The importance of painting a clear vision (elements of a successful vision)
  • Managing diversity
  • Understanding and leading a multi-generational workforce
