This ½ day session is the beginning of an organization’s journey toward world-class and provides all associates with the answers to their questions on Lean. Associates will go through this participatory program and will better understand their role and the organizational timeline for their participation. This is the first step for better understanding the leadership team’s expectations for every associate within the organization.

Course content includes:

  • Proof of the need and the reason to change
  • The importance of customers and how to better satisfy customer’s needs
  • A definition of the 8 forms of waste and how important it is to eliminate waste throughout the organization
  • A review of each lean tool to include: value stream mapping, 5S/Visual Enterprise, Process cells, Kanban, Error Proofing, TPM, Setup Reduction, and the role of Kaizen events

Upon completion participants will be able to:

  • Understand the need to change
  • Identify the different forms of waste and the need to declare war on that waste
  • Understand their role as an associate
  • Understand the organization’s timeline of activities and their future involvement
