The BEC offers a three-day Project Management Associate Certificate, which is the first of two certificate levels. This program prepares you and your team to better organize, implement and control projects. All phases of project management are addressed. You will immediately apply what you have learned to your present job. The program uses an integrated approach so you learn key aspects of project management each day. Instructors are part of MSOE's Rader School of Business faculty who possess extensive project management experience. This program provides participants with the tools and knowledge necessary to manage a wide range of projects, regardless of the environment.

Course content includes:

  • project planning and execution
  • project financial management
  • motivating and leading project teams
  • utilizing Microsoft Project as a management tool

Upon completion, you will be able to:

  • determine the feasibility of a project
  • develop project plans and schedules
  • manage project plans and schedules
  • evaluate and manage project issues, changes and risks
  • develop a communication plan
  • put into practice the elements that create a strong and successful team
  • use Microsoft Project as a management and communication tool

Upon successful completion:

  • Participants are awarded a Project Management Associate Certificate

Participants enrolled in MSOE's B.S. in Management program may be awarded three academic credits for MS-4801 Project Management
