The BEC is offering a six-day session on the Six Sigma Methodology and tools and how to apply them in your daily activities. This highly sought-after course will provide the students with working knowledge of how to continuously make 10X improvements in productivity through the use of Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS). The course follows the same structure and approach as the very successful Black Belt program with a focus on immediate application to your current issues. When the course is complete you will know how to use and apply the methodology and tools to quickly impact business results
Course content includes:
- Six days of results-based training. (two three-day sessions)
- Application oriented training on Six Sigma / DFSS methodology and tools
- Practical examples demonstrating Six Sigma applications in many business areas – use the templates directly in your application.
- Knowledge and tools needed to participate and lead projects in your immediate work area.
- Understanding how Six Sigma benefits you and your customers and comparisons with other initiatives
- 14 software tools to help you become more productive
- How to look at problems in a manner that allows you to make better business decisions.
Upon completion, you will be able to:
- Appropriately apply the Methodology and Tools to directly improve productivity
- Identify areas where Six Sigma / DFSS will provide benefits within your business / work area
- Make better decisions using sound data analysis techniques
- Participate in Six Sigma / DFSS projects
- Lead Six Sigma / DFSS projects within your immediate work area
Participants who successfully complete our Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate program are awarded six academic credits that may be used to satisfy Operations Management
concentration electives in MSOE's Bachelor of Science in Management, Bachelor of Science in Business or Bachelor of Science in International Business programs.
Expectations and Requirements
Laptops are required for this program. Participants are expected to bring their own laptop equipped with a CD-ROM drive.
