The Business Excellence Consortium (BEC) is offering a seminar on Creating & Maintaining a World Class Safety Culture. Your safety program should not be driven by compliance alone, but factually it protects your most valuable assets - your employees! Changes in attitudes and behaviors in the workplace have been found to make major improvement in the losses experienced by workplaces due to accidents and illnesses. We must create a culture where we live safely 24/7. This seminar explores the keys to developing a safety culture.

This seminar is intended to provide attendees with "real world" applications and strategies for an effective safety and health culture. We will discuss do's and don'ts for a supervisor/team leader to create a good relationship with employees, which in turn develops safe behaviors.

This seminar will share concepts of how to:

  • Obtain Management Support/Leadership
  • Motivate for safety
  • Train/Educate: maximizing your training efforts
  • Establish team work
  • Develop guidelines to prevent reoccurrence of unsafe acts
  • Listen to the wants and needs of employees
  • Explore Incentive Programs
