Creating and Maintaining a World-Class Safety Culture

How can you prevent incidents that cause personal injury or worse?
What can you do to foster a safety culture?
When was the last time you conducted a safety assessment?

In this 1-1/2 hour seminar, business owners, managers, and front-line supervisors will learn the importance of creating a mindset in your organization that all incidents are preventable, all employees must continuously work toward injury prevention, and, most importantly, that everyone is accountable for safety.

At this seminar, you will learn:

  • behaviors are the leading cause of injuries, rather than machines and work conditions
  • how to create the mindset that safety must be a 24/7 mentality, and that, when adopted effectively, reduces incidents, injuries, and related costs
  • safety compliance and injury prevention are two separate categories that require equal focus
  • "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!"
  • the direct and indirect costs of injuries and how they affect your company's bottom-line
  • techniques that help you "stop the bleeding"
  • the importance of employee accountability, measurements, goals, celebrations, teaming, etc.
  • how to educate people to understand injury costs and their impact, and how to get them aboard the culture train.

Upon completion you will know how to:

  • develop benchmarks
  • effectively communicate
  • positively motivate people
  • create effective, cross-functional teams
  • create the want and motivate people
  • identify bad choices and deal with the consequences
  • develop effective reward programs
  • celebrate successes.
