Business Excellence ConsortiumGoing to Market in a Down Economy
In a down economy, companies need to learn how to drive revenue in ways other than their traditional markets. Many times, companies are too attached to what they produce (products) and lose sight of what they do (capabilities). When companies rediscover what they do, they can open new markets for their capabilities. To help organizations address the difficulties of a down economy, MSOE's Business Excellence Consortium is offering a 1.5 hour seminar that will help participants learn how to evaluate their capabilities, identify and understand adjacent markets for their capabilities, and how to develop a market launch plan into these adjacent markets. Specific case studies will be used to illustrate how concentrating on your capabilities versus your products can translate into growth, even in a down economy. Several interactive exercises are part of the seminar to help reinforce key take-aways.
