Successful implementation of Lean is one of the biggest challenges many organizations face today. While there is widespread recognition around the benefits of Lean, knowing how to implement Lean within an organization can be a daunting task. The reality is that there is no "right" way to implement Lean and the implementation process is going to be as varied as there are companies undertaking this journey. What is universally true, however, is that the largest hurdles stem from leadership and, more often than not, when you get stuck along the way it is leadership that is getting in the way.

This full-day forum will help you identify the role of leadership along the Lean journey. More importantly, it will talk about how we often get in our own way and what to do about it. Through anecdotal stories, a CEO, who has been on this journey, will share valuable lessons on how to better understand your role in the journey, how to better teach it, and how to help engage the hearts and minds of your employees to engage with Lean. While some Lean concepts will be touched upon, the focus of this session is less about Lean and more about what leadership needs to do differently to be successful.
