Health care professionals are well aware of patient safety. What about personal safety? Or, the safety of others in the health care environment?
This two-hour seminar focuses on workplace safety in a health care setting, whether it be a physician's office, hospital, nursing home or other health-related environment. This program is designed to create a mindset that all accidents are preventable and that all employees must continuously work on prevention of accidents. Behaviors are the leading cause of injuries - not machines - not conditions. Creating the mindset of thinking safe 24/7 is the most effective way to decrease accidents, injuries and insurance costs in your health care environment.
While compliance to safety regulations has proven to generate some savings, many institutions and organizations do not realize that an injury prevention mindset will return far greater business benefits. The seminar will relate the direct and indirect costs of injuries to profit margins. Typically, the hidden costs of an injury or incident can be two-to-three times the sum of medical and lost time payments. The goal is to educate people to understand the substantial cost of a minor injury and its impact on the bottom line. Interactive training techniques are shared with attendees.
