This 8 day certificate program is designed specifically for the automotive business sector. Quality Engineering Certificate training provides a broad, practical, comprehensive approach to Quality and Quality Management Principles by applying these principles to produce quality products and services. Participants receive valuable information and develop crucial skills necessary for cost effective continual improvement. Learning opportunities focus on customer perception, customer satisfaction, and the process approach toward achieving competitive excellence in all we do.
The Automotive Quality Engineering Certificate includes the following sessions:
Upon completion of the Quality Engineering Certificate, participants will be able to:
- Anticipate problems and failure modes before they happen then put controls in place to prevent those failures
- Determine when and how to apply statistical techniques then understand and interpret the resulting data
- Mistake proof products and processes to reduce costs, avoid rework, eliminate scrap and reduce inspection
- Set-up, evaluate, and maintain measurement systems to ensure inspection, measuring, & test equipment reliability
- Solve problems by finding and addressing root causes by applying irreversible permanent corrective actions
- Understand the ISO 9001:2000 standard and effectively audit quality management systems using the process approach
- Effectively manage new product launches by guiding the various functional groups through the phases of APQP
- Understand the ISO/TS 16949:2002 standard and effectively audit quality management systems using the process approach
